Nord Wave Software Updates
The following software is available to the Nord Wave:
Nord Wave OS
The latest operating system for your Nord Wave unit.
Nord Wave Manager
Application used for editing samples, creating Sample Instruments and up- and downloading content to your unit.
The OS version is shown in the display at power up.

Connect the USB cable between the Nord Wave and your computer. The "Found New Hardware" wizard should appear. On Windows 2000, XP and Vista you can let the wizard search for the driver, simply choosing next.
- Update The Nord Wave OS
Connect the USB cable between the computer and the Nord Wave.
Run the "Update Nord Wave OS" application and wait for the program to find the Nord Wave.
Click the UPDATE button. The progress bar will show you when the update is finished. Close the Update tool by clicking the DONE button.
In order to update your unit and transfer Sample Instruments you need a USB equipped computer running Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Mac OS X 10.4.3
- Download and un-zip the installation file.

Nord Sound Manager Software

- Install the software
Windows: Unzip the downloaded archive and run "Install Nord Sound Manager v5.x Setup.exe" .
OS X: Open the downloaded image file (.dmg) and drag the Nord Sound Manager v5.x.app to the Applications folder.
v5.00- Renamed application to Nord Sound Manager, for upcoming compatiblity with Wave, Electro 3, Stage and Stage EX.
- Yanked the version number up to 5.x.
- Synchronization between application and unit is now much faster.
- File status is now shown in file list so that damaged files with e.g. a broken checksum can be identified, removed and replaced.
- Drag and Drop now has some user feedback: Files that are dragged from desktop get the correct little 'plus'-sign, also pressing ctrl-key while dragging can be used to copy files instead of moving them (on supported partitions).
- Drag and Drop now highlights the destination rows when moving items.
- It is now possible to search in the file lists for names (characters), category names or info field text.
- Defined a 'Organize mode'. Move and swap is now only possible in organize mode which is achieved by clicking on the correspoding toolbar item.
- USB access denied message (when e.g. an updater is running) is now shown.
- Added functionality to set category on sounds.
- Added functionality to select sounds by double-clicking on them or by using arrowkeys in Auto Select mode.
- Added functionality to copy sounds (programs) by ctrl-dragging items.
- Fixed a bug when the chosen file directory was not remembered between downloads.
- Fixed a bug when restore was perfomed on a backup file on a read only media such as CD/DVD.
- Backup files can now be dragged and dropped onto the application to perform a restore.
v1.14 (Wave Manager)- Fixed copyright date 2008.
- Fixed bug in the Mac version which produced an incorrect version number.
v1.12- Fixed so multiple programs or Sample Instruments can be moved in a overlapping manner.
- Fixed Manager to allow you to perform an erase if it fails to retrive the sound/program list from synth.
v1.10- First MacOSX (universal binary) release.
v1.04- The first official release (Windows Only).
- Make sure that the Nord Wave is turned on.
- Make sure that the USB cable is connected and the USB driver is installed.
- Make sure the Update utility and the Nord Stage Manager is not running at the same time.
- If you still don't get a connection with the synthesizer, try to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
- If you still have a problem, try a shorter (1.5 meter) USB-cable.
- If the problem remains, try to Scan for Hardware changes in the Windows Device Manager.

- Global gain is now affecting the audio playback just like sample gain.
