G2, G2X and new G2 OS
Hi friends!
We're proud to let you know that our most recent invention,
the Nord Modular G2X (the 5-octave version of the Nord Modular
G2), now is finalized. It will be shipped in August. Moreover
a new G2 OS has just been launched. The following is an attempt
to provide a release text (pictures are attached). In case
you want more info/pictures, we'll be happy to help out.
New G2 OS
Clavia does not only produce the world's best keyboards -
we also realize dreams!
It's a pleasure for us to let you know that a great product
becomes even better, introducing the new version 1.20 G2 software.
Among the new features we believe that the Mac OS X platform
will become the most appreciated. We've also added a number
of new modules whereas the MIDI Control Automate module is
likely to change the lives of players who need total MIDI
control over their rigs on stage as well as in the studio.
We also endow you with the ultimate tools for adding color
to your sounds. How about a FM operator and a DX router that
let you simulate any old DX7 sounds? You also find effect
modules such as Pitch Shifter and Scratch. A brand new group
called Random includes six new modules that are very helpful
to add more life to your patches and get the organic retro
feel. Above this we also provide a Noise Oscillator which
is a revolution for producers of wind-instruments and organ
simulations.
What can the new version do for you?
New features in V1.20
- Mac OS X support
- Now up to four Modular G2's can be connected simultaneously
and controlled by the same editor.
- Some new modules have been added:
- Metallic Noise Oscillator - for emulating
the cymbal sounds of classic drum machines.
- Noise Oscillator - perfect for emulation of wind instruments
and organs.
- FM Operator and DX Router - for creating those classic
FM sounds.
- A whole group of Random modules - for adding life and
analog feel to sounds or for creating random melodies
etc.
- Pitch Shifter and Scratch - cool sounding FX modules
for all kinds of sound tweaking.
- MIDI Automate - for controlling external MIDI gear.
- Support for the five octave G2X. New graphical appearance
of the editor software.
- Much improved MIDI synchronization. Improved handling
of MIDI CC# assignments: Now assignments can be made and displayed
from the Editor's Parameter overview dialog. Support for dumping
SysEx and CC#'s from the synth panel Several other bug fixes
and improvements.
Nord Modular G2X
The five-octave version is launched in August and will be
the ultimate Modular performance tool. The following features
are specific for the G2X:
- 5-octaves, semi-weighted keyboard.
- 3 modulation wheels with built in LEDs.
- Top panel mounted XLR microphone input.
- Shipped with gooseneck microphone.
- Features a built in voice expansion that gives the
G2X twice the processing power as the other models (G2 and
Engine).
